The Democratic Party of Manfredonia put to the test of voting: perspectives, visions and objectives
The Democratic Party of Manfredonia presents itself to the vote on 8 and 9 June in a renewed guise and in the name of discontinuity. Fresh from years of opposition to the outgoing centre-right administration, the Democratic Party proposes itself, together with the centre-left coalition in support of Domenico La Marca, with a vision and a proposal capable of intercepting the disappointment and discouragement for the recent management of public affairs.
It does so within a progressive field that wants to offer new schemes and disruptive choices that allow people to recover even before consensus, starting from the awareness of the important critical issues present in the city and which sides with all those who ask for change, participation and transparency, and with the responsibility and burden of those who want to erase and put behind them the last dark years of the centre-right city government.
It was not an easy or convenient choice to close a political phase by putting our faces before the city with honesty and transparency, taking strong and onerous decisions but at the same time strongly claiming the need to renew that virtuous thread made up of online battles with their own values.
For this reason, in view of the upcoming municipal elections, the Democratic Party has repeatedly underlined the need to return to giving centrality to good politics, with a new ruling class that is capable of responding urgently to the many looming challenges and that does not turn its back on the future. .
The idea of an alternative city built with difficulty in recent years, through the shared desire to give a new social and cultural impetus to Manfredonia, did not stop in the face of the natural difficulties of building an even broader and broader centre-left coalition inclusive together with the forces that opposed the last city government, but it obtained even more life from the desire to achieve the goal of restoring dignity and decorum to the city.
Rejecting improvisation and populism is therefore essential to give concrete answers to citizens, so as not to leave the field open to those who are incapable of taking on the responsibility of facing the social emergencies with which we live, starting from loneliness and marginalization due to lack of job opportunities that are the natural glue for the economic and social development of our land, working so that these conditions can be recreated.
The Democratic Party of Manfredonia is not returning but remains where it has always been, far from the containers that last the space of an electoral campaign, but present with the strength of the ideas of women and men who live the city every day and share its needs and resources, without let yourself be intimidated by the personalities of those whose only task is to look the other way.
