A Saturday full of great emotions is expected on the clay courts of Via Laviano. The Women’s Internationals City of Caserta with prize money of 60 thousand dollars they are in fact experiencing an edition, the thirty-fifth, full of charm and good games. Thanks to the very competitive tennis players, a very balanced scoreboard right from the start and a crowd almost as warm as the temperatures these days. With these assumptions we arrive at the Saturday of the tournament which will also be that of the semi-finals in the singles and the coveted final of the doubles. Starting time at 3pm with the Brazilian Laura Pigossinumber one seed and 119th in the world ranking who will face the Spaniard Leyre Romero Gormaz. Pigossi confirms itself as a steamroller even against Anastasia Abbagnato, settled in two sets with the score of 7/6 6/0. For her part the Gormaznumber 216 in the WTA ranking, showed strength and great courage in recovering (2/6 6/4 7/5 the final) Tatiana Pieri who on Thursday had eliminated number three on the scoreboard Priscilla Hon. Both tennis players felt the heat.

«I’m very happy with the result, but it was a really long and tiring match in every game – comments Leyre Romero Gormaz – we suffered a lot from the heat and the humidity felt on the pitch, but in any case the important thing was to win. I must say that it is always a good idea to come and play in Italy, Caserta for me it’s just a confirmation. The organization is excellent and the hospitality is always top notch, both on and off the pitch.”

The start of the other semi-final is not scheduled before 6.30 pm and will certainly see the Japanese as the protagonist Sara Sajto who he beat in three sets for (4/6 7/6 6/2) and over two hours of battle the Greek Martha Matoula. Sajto will face the winner of the semi-finals French Armandine Hesse and Swiss Jil Teichmannexecutioner Thursday evening in comeback of ours Deborah Church.
