Twelve councilor candidates have already signed it, while there are only Leonardo Caponi and Vittoria Ferdinandi among the candidates for the office of mayor.
The appeal The appeal focuses on seven key points: work, education, health, participation, transport, housing and the environment. «Today, those who are running to administer the city and sit in the highest city council cannot continue to ignore the needs of young people and treat us like the last wheel of the wagon – declares Giorgio Tropeoli, coordinator of A region to stay – If we are truly the future of this city and this region, we want our problems to be dealt with always, not just close to each electoral campaign.”
Treatment At the center of the appeal is the word ‘care’, because, says Nicola Cardinali, coordinator of Link, «there is a city to be restored, after years in which we have experienced a sense of abandonment and disintegration of which the Municipality does not has never taken charge, causing very serious effects on our lives, from housing to health.”
Change «To stop the bleeding of commercial activities and popular participation» continues Margherita Boniotti, UDS coordinator, «filling the neighborhoods with the Army and the police was not enough. It is unthinkable to continue like this and expect change.” The appeal is to reach a turning point “both in policies and in the way of administering the territory”.
