Everything is ready for the opening of the curtain on the historic center of Avellino which this year will be transformed into the great theater of the children’s hill, to bring adults and children back to the Renaissance, the era in which one of the most important personalities of the time lived, Maria de Cardona feudal lord who in 1513 received the county of Avellino as an inheritance, favoring its renewal, its industrial and commercial rebirth, its cultural awakening and transforming the Castle into a magnificent noble residence, where he lived for a long time. The event will be presented on June 12th, the international day against the exploitation of child labor, at 11:00 am in the meeting room of the chamber of commerce in Piazza Duomo.
The press conference moderated by Paolo Matarazzo will be attended by Amalia Benevento Unicef Avellino provincial committee, the architect of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities Marino Nardiello diocese of Avellino, Nicola Argenziano and Jessica Festa representatives of the theatrical performances, and finally Gianni Maffei representative of the proloco Abellinum Civitasseleczanum, the association that conceived and organized the third edition of the “children’s hill”, which sees a program full of workshops and events and created thanks to the contribution of numerous sponsors who believe in the initiative and in the valorisation of the territory.
