The Baroque Race celebrates its 13th edition on July 7th, and the numbers of entries already achieved indicate that it will be a memorable edition. Named in memory of Giorgio Buscema, the race will maintain its characteristic 24 km route, which passes through Ragusa, Modica and Scicli, offering a selective and ideal route for those who are preparing for road or trail competitions during the summer.

In addition to the long race, the Baroque Sprint and Walking is also confirmed, with a 10.2 km route starting from Modica. This entails a double organizational commitment for the Asd Non al Doping Ragusa and the Uisp Territoriale Iblei, with two distinct starting points. Both routes offer complete immersion in the charm of Ragusa’s Baroque, offering unique visual emotions to participants.

The start of the long race will be from Piazza Pola in Ragusa Ibla at 7:00, while the Baroque Sprint will start at 8:00 from Corso Umberto in Modica, near the Garibaldi Theatre. The arrival for both races will be in Scicli, in Via Penna. At the end of the race, there will be an award ceremony for the top three finishers, men and women, both overall and in category.

Registrations are still open: the cost is 20 euros, with an additional contribution of 2 euros for the shuttle bus connecting arrival and departure. For the Baroque Sprint, the price is 12 euros. It is important to register by June 18th, as increases are expected thereafter. Last year, the winners were Lorenzo Lotti with a time of 1h21’43” and the Ukrainian Nadiya Sukharyna with a time of 1h43’35”.
