Avs-Demos: «A Poletti candidate deemed unpresentable»

CIVITAVECCHIA – A piece of news destined to spark discussion, the one relaunched by the Alleanza Verdi Sinistra-Demos, and which refers to the papers of the session of 30 May of the parliamentary anti-mafia inquiry commission chaired by the Hon. Chiara Colosimo. «A few hours after the vote, it happens that you come across news that you don’t expect – they explain – it appears, in fact, from an editorial article by Virgilionews, that among the many candidates for the next local elections put under the magnifying glass of the Commission there is also a candidate councilor of our city was reported as “unpresentable”. This is Lamberto Alessandro, candidate with the “We moderates with Poletti” list who would be accused of corruption for an act contrary to the duties of office and ideological falsehood which is included in a list of 44 other cases that the Anti-Mafia Commission reported in rest of the country. What can I say, not exactly a good business card for the former general Poletti who presented himself, at the beginning of this electoral campaign – they added from Avs-Demos – with the slogan “Loyal, Legal and Free” guaranteeing a replacement of the old political class with people, in his words, of proven transparency and honesty. We do not intend to go into the merits of the provision in the slightest, a task that falls to the Judiciary, but we leave, as is right, the final, entirely political judgment to the electorate – they concluded – with the certainty that knowledge of our path is the best guarantee for the many who will choose our coalition for a radical change of direction.”
