Corigliano-Rossano. But who is the “genius” who talks about legality (!) in the center-right?

by Alberto Laise

I would like to have the pleasure of meeting the strategist of the centre-right electoral campaign in Corigliano-Rossano… He must be a genius.
He decides to challenge Stasi on the issue of administrative legality and transparency…Okay.
Given that every award below the threshold, every project, every tender leaves someone happy and there can be a doubt about everything… But really the Calabrian center-right and that of this city think they can shift people’s attention there and have more credibility than Stasis? It’s as if Juventus wanted to teach Real Madrid and Milan how to win in Europe…

Leaving aside the shame of the dissolution of the Straface administration in Corigliano due to the mafia… and that’s leaving it alone in quotes… do we want to talk about the Scopelliti model? About Morelli’s events? Of the dozens and dozens of arrests with convictions that over the years have seen centre-right elected representatives as protagonists? Of course there have also been in the centre-left… but the ratio is 1 to 20…
So why not challenge Stasi on the programs instead of artfully pumping out nothing?

The 9-column news of the opening of investigations, which among other things the council oppositions and the centre-right have been announcing for 4 years, what are they if not a normal bureaucratic process with respect to complaints and complaints presented by the centre-right? Tizio declares that Caio sold a house to the municipality within the infamous PINQUA, and it is a crime because he is a Stasi supporter who paid him more than its value… The prosecutor’s office will rightly check, carry out its investigations and, finally, close , for the twentieth time the investigations because there is no crime. Would it have been more appropriate if the sale had not taken place? It may be… but it would have been even more appropriate not to have certain companies go through the rounds… points of view which then have to deal with reality and the history of this city.

Did they want to “hit” Stasi? We could have talked about the municipal machine not reaching the level of excellence it promised us. Of the laxity of many historical employees who take three days to move a barrier at the end of the market. We could have been discussing what we want to do with the city’s infrastructures and with the idea of urban development… but there, in that area, we don’t want to go down because they are fishing for consensus.

It was possible to talk about the role of the city in relation to regional politics by contrasting Stasi’s vision with that of Occhiuto (the real candidate for mayor), contesting a line of continuous conflict that could lead to institutional isolation. Unfortunately, the contrasting model is that of political and economic subjugation as the Baker&Hughes affair teaches. And then it is better to be rebels against everyone than to be servants of an arrogant master.

A debate could have been opened on the offices and on the need to equip oneself or not with a single building in Insiti or to distribute the offices in the historic centers… But even there nothing is said because it is not interesting to think about the opportunity but we prefer not to risk making the people nervous great voters who have enjoyed rents for years…

The topics of discussion could be infinite… the problem is that, to address them, it was necessary to have an idea to propose and permission to propose it. And Stasi, like it or not, has those ideas. And he took that permit 5 years ago. And the only political regret I still have is that I didn’t support him, with my four votes counted, last time too.
