Seven meetings for a total of 24 hours of training with the involvement of around 200 students from classes 4 and 5 starting from October.

It is the result of the project carried out byATS of the Po Valley, through the technicians of the Workplace Prevention and Safety service of Cremona, in collaboration with the“Stanga” Higher Education Institute in the various locations of the Agricultural Technical Institute in Crema and Cremona, inDairy Institute in Pandino and at theProfessional Institute for Agriculture of Cremona with the aim of promoting the culture of prevention and raising awareness on the topic of health and safety in the agri-food sector.

“The initiative is part of the European campaign for safety and health at work – he explains Anna Marinella Firmi, Director of the Hygiene and Health Prevention Department of ATS – and was aimed at the young protagonists of tomorrow’s work, who will be able to play various roles in the sector. Our technicians have started a very positive exchange with them on the risk prevention and management process, which starts from the analysis and assessment of risks to arrive at the identification of prevention and protection measures. Deep reflection was encouraged in the students through the presentation of real cases and the valorisation of any previous experiences experienced personally and/or in the context of the Paths for Transversal Skills and Orientation (PCTO). Furthermore, from an orientation perspective, the meetings were an opportunity to present the figure of the Prevention Technician and the dedicated degree course as a professional choice for the future”.
