In a context in which the reform of the Italian tax system is progressing, the Orders of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of the Veneto have joined forces to create an initiative unprecedented in Italy: the Association of Accountants and Tax Defenders of the Veneto (ACDT ).
The association, officially established on 19 February 2024, has the aim of promoting the figure of the Chartered Accountant in the field of tax defense and in carrying out the function of tax defender, and represents a unique initiative of its kind in Italy which aims to support its active members in assisting and representing taxpayers in the tax control, assessment and judgment phases.
In its first configuration the Board of Directors of the Association, chaired by prof. Antonio Viotto (ODCEC by Treviso), see accountants Sebastiano Barusco vice president (ODCEC of Padua), Mara Pilla secretary advisor (ODCEC of Vicenza), Marco De Marchis councilor-treasurer (ODCEC of Venice), Salvatore Sciortino Councilor (ODCEC of Belluno), Andrea Ferro advisor (ODCEC of Rovigo) and Stefano Philippi advisor (ODCEC of Verona).
“The birth of the ACDT represents a historic moment for the profession of the Chartered Accountant in Veneto and in Italy,” declared the prof. Antonio Viotto – president of the Association and Professor of Tax Law at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice – this association aims to enhance professionalism and strengthen the role of the chartered accountant as a tax defender.”
The ACDT is committed to promoting the full protection of the dignity of tax defense activity, the effective implementation of the taxpayer’s right of defense, the study and in-depth analysis of tax regulations, as well as dialogue with the institutions and updating professionalism of its members.
“The association was born from the desire to respond in an organized and structured way to the needs of an increasingly complex and challenging sector such as the tax sector” – he concludes Viotto – “We are convinced that the ACDT will become an important point of reference for all accountants working in the field of tax defence, with benefits also for taxpayers seeking qualified support and protection.”
The ACDT, based in Venice – Mestre at the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Venice, is open to all those registered in the Registers of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of the Veneto who carry out their activity in the tax defense sector or demonstrate a scientific interest in the subject.
