Tuttosport offers an interview with Michelangelo Rampullagoalkeeper with a long career which also saw a stage in Varesewhere it was the first purchase of Beppe Marotta in 1980, from Pattese. “I did an audition at Varese when Beppe was still the assistant sporting director. But then the following month he became the sporting director to all intents and purposes. So when I met him he asked me if I would like to stay in the team. And naturally I replied it’s said Rampulla – He knew how to relate to everyone, both with those of his age, because he held an important role despite being young, and with people with more experience. Every now and then he came to training and challenged me, kicking at the goal. The fact that we were almost the same age meant that the relationship was very good, so much so that it has remained unchanged today.”
“He has gained a great deal of football experience,” he says today Rampulla of the current Inter president – It would be too easy to say now: “Yes, I expected it”. In fact I tell her no. Rampulla testifies how, beyond the most visiible and well-known results with Juventus and Interfrom the beginning Marotta he demonstrated great ability. “With Varese, with a team of very young players, we almost reached Serie A. He’s always done very well, you see Monza, Atalanta, Sampdoria. I don’t know if he is the best of all at his profession, but he is certainly among the best.”
