Modena, 7 June 2024 – The unbridled success of Run 5.30 continues, particularly in Modena, which inaugurated it way back in 2009. Many have responded to the call to try, at least once, to wake up at dawn to run or walk for 4.8 km, crossing a still sleeping city, with the light of dawn softening the colors and the lighter air, on a morning with ideal weather. The 2024 participants were over 7,000, an absolute record of attendance for the Tour 5.30 among all the eleven scheduled stages (even if Turin is getting lower every year…). Modena surpasses even much larger cities in terms of participation, such as Milan, thanks above all to the push of high school students who thus combine the celebration with the promotion of healthy lifestyles, of which movement and nutrition are an essential part. A river of red shirts flowed along this year’s route. We start from Novi Sad Park and proceed along the Monte Kosica, Fallen in War, Martyrs of Freedom avenues. Then you enter Via Saragozza, Canalgrande, Via Emilia and Via Farini, passing in front of the Palazzo Ducale. Passing via 3 February you take Corso Cavour and you start to see the finish line, it’s time to speed up… then via Fontanelli and return to the start, under the stands of the Novi Sad park, for refreshment with the cherries, the inevitable ” selfie” to share on social media and lots of chatting with friends.
