Yesterday, the A. Negri primary school in Udine had the honor of hosting the writer and illustrator Pietro Nicolauchic, in an event that thrilled the students and teachers. Nicolauchic, author of the children’s work “At Home All Alone”, published by Salani, read his book to the young students against the backdrop of the trees in the garden, captivating them with a compelling plot and wonderful illustrations.
The author, originally from Malborgetto and winner of the 20th edition of the De Andrè prize for poetry, demonstrated great availability towards the students. After the reading, he answered numerous questions from the kids, revealing the secrets of his writing and drawing, and talking about his sources of inspiration. The meeting proved to be an educational and stimulating moment, which brought the children closer to the world of literature and art.
The students had the opportunity to explore the book’s illustrations, discovering details and details that fascinated them. Questions ranged from curiosity about the origins of story ideas, to the creative processes behind making the drawings. Nicolauchic shared personal and professional anecdotes, creating a direct and meaningful connection with the young audience.
