Through those photographs the two would have accused the doctor of having caused a tumor in the discharged relative despite attempts to convince the troublemakers that it was a bedsore, usual and possible in patients forced to stay in a hospital bed for a long time. Of the pair of attackers, the man above all seemed to have lost control, exceeding in violent death threats both to the unfortunate doctor and to one of his colleagues from Barletta, who immediately intervened, and a nurse who also rushed over. The threats were soon joined by some physical attacks with violent pushes and tugs towards a wall. Only after time and the joint intervention of the three, with explanations and clarifications, would the attacker’s fury be stopped.
“If you call someone I’ll kill you, I’ll hit you with the car” were some of the phrases uttered. An ungenerous climate towards the staff serving at the “Tatarella” which cannot and must not be dismissed as mere coincidence. Reports arrive often and the situation has long appeared unsustainable, because it is punctuated by a long sequence of attacks. Furthermore, it would appear that surveillance cameras are missing in many areas of the hospital.
The misadventure ended this time, as a regular complaint was filed following personal injuries and threats.
