The celebrations for the anniversary of 2 June, Republic Day, took place today at the ‘Borea e Massa’ Foundation.
“It is true that the correct date would have been last Sunday – specifies the President Dr. Annamaria Mariani – but during the weekend some employees are missing and many relatives, who are always present in the afternoon, would not have been able to participate. It would have been a shame to miss the opportunity to party because the elderly, while it is true that they need a daily routine that all the staff guarantee them, also need to be stimulated and animated with moments of fun; even better if these occasions bring back memories of their experiences and their youth!”
Present at the ceremony was Alessandro Il Grande, President of the Sanremo City Council, who has always supported the Foundation for the social commitment and historical prestige it holds in our city.
To enliven the afternoon, in addition to the activities proposed by the animator Marco Giorio who follows the elderly, the talented trumpeter Daniele Comba intervened and, in addition to underlining the solemn moments of the ceremony, animated the afternoon with great participation of the guests present.
