Drugs for the streets of Umbria, Marche and Abruzzo. The Fermo Public Prosecutor’s Office has requested the indictment of fifteen people of Albanian nationality, believed to be part of a criminal association capable of distributing drugs from Fermo to the neighboring regions. The investigative activity, conducted by the financiers of the Marche economic-financial unit, had made it possible to arrest 3 men of Albanian origin in flagrante delicto and to recover 6.7 kilos of marijuana, approximately 6 kilos of hashish, approximately 2 kilos of cocaine and over 2 kilos of heroin. The judicial authority placed a 37-year-old at the head of the alleged trafficking group. At the time of the execution of the precautionary measure, 52,730 euros in cash were also found, considered as proceeds from the drug dealing activity. The activity carried out by the Financial Police made it possible to seize, in addition to the narcotic substance, various materials useful for its packaging, 11 cellular devices considered instrumental to the illicit activity and 4 medium-sized cars that would have been used for the transport of the drug. The “commercial” potential of the group, according to the investigations, would have been over 4 million 700 thousand euros. Much of the money resulting from drug trafficking, the investigations found, would have been transferred abroad. While the three arrested in the act have already agreed to terms of 3 to 4 years in prison, the prosecutor has asked for 15 years to be sent to trial. While the investigating judge has already ordered a preventive seizure of 48 thousand euros.
