PISA

The famous “Dinner on the Ponte di Mezzo” returns to Pisa. This year too, the Pisan summer comes to life with the exclusive dinner overlooking the breathtaking scenery of the Lungarni. The event is part of the 2024 Summer Rainbow calendar (19-25 June). The appointment is set for Sunday 23 June at 7.30 pm. The dinner, organized by Confcommercio Provincia di Pisa and ConfRistoranti Confcommercio – with a menu that enhances and enhances local products – is made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Tuscany North-West-Terre di Pisa Chamber of Commerce, with the patronage of the Municipality of Pisa, and the support of La Nazione, Ant Pisa Foundation, Istituto Ipsar Giacomo Matteotti, Associazione Cuochi Pisani and Fisar.

The dinner is included in the program of Arcobaleno d’estate, the program of events that celebrates the start of the tourist season (inauguration in Florence on 19 June) promoted by the Tuscany Region together with La Nazione, with the support of Toscana Promozione Turistica, Fondazione Tuscany System and Tuscany Showcase. “The Dinner on the Bridge – declares Stefano Maestri Accesi, president of Confcommercio Province of Pisa – is an iconic event that is now an integral part of Pisan June”. Our newspaper is also a partner. Michela Berti, vice-chief of La Nazione Pisa, adds: “In a historical moment marked by international divisions, dining on a bridge takes on a strong meaning of union and sharing”.

“At the beginning, 12 years ago, someone defined us as reckless – recalls Daniela Petraglia, president of ConfRistoranti Confcommercio Pisa – and it is a great satisfaction to see how today it is considered an iconic event”. Also present at the presentation event were Valter Tamburini, president of the North-West Tuscany Chamber of Commerce, the Tourism Councilor of the Municipality of Pisa, Paolo Pesciatini and Federico Pieragnoli, director of Confcommercio Province of Pisa. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Ant Italia Onlus Foundation, which provides assistance to cancer patients and cancer prevention.
