Rho. Spugna car parks: the parking area in via Gramsci is open

(mi-lorenteggio.com) Rho, 6 June 2024 – The forty stalls of the car park in via Gramsci, the second area of Parcheggi Spugna completed in city by the CAP Group under the direction of Città Metropolitana. The construction sites fall within the scope of the projects of Rho the city that changes.

Together with the Favini company which carried out the works, the municipal administration carried out an inspection this morning, 6 June 2024, and appreciated the outcome of the interventions: next to the stalls (two of which reserved for people with disabilities) covered in concrete draining, a rain garden was created to contain and absorb rainwater. It is decorated with pebbles and tufted plants that do not require particular irrigation.

Next to the car park there is also a flowery meadow: at the moment you can only see the dirt but flowers and grass will soon appear.

In via Cornaggia, where part of the Spugna car park, the one closest to the water house, has already been used for a few weeks, we are in the final stages: the horizontal signs will be installed between today and tomorrow. As the Favini company, also active here, explained, the 28 days for laying the pervious concrete began on June 4th. At the beginning of July the part of the car park closest to Villa Burba will be usable. The rain garden that runs along the lawn used in the past to host rides and amusement parks is also being completed. Essences will be planted on its edges.

Once the car park in via Cornaggia has been completely opened, we will move on to that in via Nenni, to apply the innovations of the Spugna project which involves eleven parking areas in Rho to that area too.
