PESCARA – Over 60 appointments at Estatica 2024, the event promoted by the Marina di Pescara now in its 15th edition which reconfirms the collaborations with Pescara Jazz, Funambolika, Concerti Sotto le Stelle and Teatriamoci, opening for the first time to a summer version of the Fla and at Terrasound.
A vast musical offering – from jazz to pop, from reggae to punk – will see alternating, at the Tourist Port of Pescara, auteur theater and dialect theatre, cover bands, fashion shows, craft beers, wine tastings, boat trips and solidarity.
The initiative was presented by the president of the Marina, Gianni Taucci and the president of the Pescara-Chieti Chamber of Commerce, Gennaro Strever.
Ribbon cutting with “Acustica” on Saturday 29 June at 9.30 pm, the set conceived and organized by Spray Records with over ten performers from blues to soul, samba and songwriting. The Funambolika acrobatics will precede the symbolic ribbon cutting from 16 to 22 June. Followed by an evening of solidarity on 28 June with free entry: “The Veil of Isis – Together with Women in Being”, dedicated to combating violence against women.
The month of July will see among the first protagonists – after a preview of the Harbor Reggae Festival and Combat Rock (3rd and 4th July respectively) – the new edition of Mediterranea (5th to 7th July). From 10 to 21 July there will be space for Pescara Jazz with a whirlwind of Italian and American names, from Ada Montellanico to Rosario Giuliano, Simona Severini, Marcello Di Leonardo, Chiara Civello, Hamid Drake’s Turiya, Terri Lyne Carrington’s, Flavio Boltro, Lakecia Benjamin.
The Fla follows with three evenings – 23, 24 and 25 July – which will bring the director and actor to the Marina Antonio Manzinia concert-interview with Setak & Friends and the journalist’s reading Concita De Gregorio with the singer-songwriter Erica Mou.
An original production by Estatica is “Lucio+Lucio”, a double scheduled for June 30th and July 26th, with two evenings dedicated, respectively, to Lucio Dallawith Valentino AquilanoAnd Lucio Battisti. On July 27th, fashion returns to the catwalk with Jo Squillo to present.
On Sunday 28th, the arena will host The Biggest Combat Rock Band.
The “Concerts under the stars” series will open in August. The historic festival conceived and hosted by the guitarist Maurizio Di Fulvio will have among its guests, on Thursday 1st, Javier Girotto & Lumière Ensemble, Andrea Ciacco Trio with Stefano “Cocco” Cantini on August 3rd, Maurizio Colonna on the 11th, Enrico Vallone on the 13th, for a live tribute to the figure of Pavarotti; but again on 21, 22, 25 and 28 August with the Coro Beato Nunzio Rocksanime, Traveler Flamenco, Antonio Caretta Trio and Ciro Carbone.
The virtuous collaboration with Teatriamoci has also been reconfirmed: on 2, 12 and 24 August respectively with Giulia Di Quilio And Antonello Angiolillo in “Shakespeare in Burlesque”; Dado, the well-known cabaret artist and singer; Pino Ammendola and the landlord Federico Perrotta in “The right to happiness”. On stage too Valentina Olla.
The volumes will definitely increase with the arrival of the Zoo Music Fest, 7 and 8 August with Silent Bob and Annalisa; 18 and 20 August with Ermal Meta And Fabrizio Moro.
Immediately after Ferragosto, on 16 and 17 August, the arena will be dressed in red, yellow and green for the Harbor Reggae Festival, a mixture of groove and upbeat rhythm, to pay homage to icons such as Bob Marley but also new talents, some in I come directly from Jamaica.
He will be the guest of the event on August 19th Fiorella Mannoia waiting for the live “Fiorella Sinfonica”, a concert with orchestra, to celebrate its 70th anniversary in style.
Ninth edition for Fermenti d’Abruzzo (from 29 August to 2 September), the festival of Abruzzo craft beers which proposes, this year more than ever, its highly popular emotional tastings, with moments of musical entertainment, courses, workshops and street food. Two other reconfirmations also stand out in the August proposals: the participation of Dago Red and the Mom evening dedicated to Mia, Ornella and Mina.
Ecstatic queue, in September, the Terrasound: a four days of music scheduled for the beginning of September, from the 4th to the 7th, with artists such as the punk trio La Sad, Tropico and Tony Effe, now at the top of the best-selling albums chart , teen idols and more.
