Savona, they produced hashish and marijuana: 4 arrests

The Financial Police of Savona arrested four people, all Italian, and seized over 180 kilograms of hashish and marijuana as part of a service operation to combat drug trafficking. Several mobile phones and cash worth over 20 thousand euros were also seized. During the investigation, a villa was identified located on the Savona hills, used as a laboratory for the preparation and storage of the narcotic substance, where, in addition to one and a half quintals of hashish and marijuana, an industrial mixer, a hydraulic press, as well as two further warehouses dedicated to the storage of the narcotic where containers containing hemp were found, the active ingredient of which (THC) will have to be ascertained.

At the time of access to the house in question there were three people present, one of whom was the owner of a company authorized for the cultivation of hemp sativa. The consequent and immediate investigative developments also made it possible to find, in the Imperia area, at the residence of a fourth subject, further narcotics such as hashish and marijuana, as well as approximately 17 kilograms of products (sugar, gummy sweets, honey and biscuits) made by alcoholic infusion derived from marijuana inflorescences with a high content of active ingredient. Further investigations are underway to verify who the recipients of the large batch of drugs were which, once put up for sale in the drug dealing centres, would have generated illicit profits of over one million euros.
