Pavia, diving from the Covered Bridge into the waters of Ticino: an (old) video goes crazy on the web

PAVIA. A dive from the Covered Bridge down into Ticino. The protagonist is a boy who, after undressing, remaining in his bathing suit, sat on one of the parapets of the bridge and then threw himself into the river. Everything appears in a video taken by friends and passers-by, published yesterday by a site that deals with Pavia. However, the video dates back three years ago.

The images went around the web and social media (receiving many negative comments). The young man was seen swimming to shore after the dive and then leaving. In addition to being dangerous, diving into the Ticino obviously violates the bathing ban that has been in force for some time in the city section of the river.

Previous

This is certainly not the first time that someone has dived from the Covered Bridge, even if there had been no reports of similar gestures for a long time. In July 2012 something similar had happened: passers-by had witnessed the stunt of three young people who jumped into the water from the bridge while a group of friends watched them, but in that case the intervention of the police had put an end to the dangerous fun. A few days later other boys, or perhaps the same ones, had done the same thing.

Also in the summer of that year, two boys aged 15 and 17, from San Genesio and Vidigulfo, had jumped into the river from the bridge, at a point near the statue of the Washerwoman in the Borgo.

In that case, however, the young people had been identified by the police, with a report to the magistrate of the Milan juvenile court.
