PESARO – New hospital in Pesaro, design assigned. An 18 million contract for technical feasibility. It was a race against time to transfer the departments, then the jobs. The project was announced by the Regional Councilor for Infrastructure and Healthcare and Hospital Construction Francesco Baldelli: «The largest investment in the history of the Marche Region is taking off. A historic moment that the city of Pesaro has been waiting for since 1968. The works for the design of the new hospital of the City of Rossini have been assigned to the temporary group of professionals led by the Milanese SD Partners and which also includes professionals from the Marche region such as the Design Studio Paci Beta of Pesaro and Architetto Piscitelli Associati of Ancona.”
A loan with a total value of up to 18 million euros with a reduction of 35.88% with a contractual deadline for the drafting of the project economic technical feasibility of 120 days. The structure will be in Muraglia and will have 382 places that can be expanded to 460. A choice that has generated quite a bit of controversy. With the Region having already released the timetable and defended the choice.
Here is the dawn of the construction of the new structure which will respond to the health needs of Pesaro, the second city of the Marche and those of the citizens who live in the province of Pesaro and Urbino. «The Pesaro hospital is a fundamental piece of the Marche hospital network – continues Councilor Baldelli – a network that the Acquaroli Council is creating thanks to overall investments of over 1 billion euros aimed at providing the Marche with services spread across the entire territory regional. We will follow the design phase step by step so that the insertion of the new structure in the Muraglia district, a beautiful and fragile area, with the hill behind it and densely populated and busy, takes place in the best possible way, paying the right attention to the needs of resident citizens and the environmental needs of the territory”.
The one on the new Pesaro hospital is the largest investment in the history of the Marche Region for an estimated value, according to a preliminary design document, of over 200 million euros. «The official start of the planning, and therefore of the realization, is the clear and concrete response also to those who participated in the Festival of Words here in Pesaro – concludes Councilor Baldelli – and to whom we would like to dedicate, jokingly of course, the first prize for “neurosceptics”, those who question everything and everyone, except themselves and their words. With the Acquaroli Council, instead of words, concrete actions are taken in the name of rights, the rights to health of the citizens of Pesaro and of our entire region.”
Now it’s time for the necessary transfers of the services and departments of Muraglia, provided for in the program agreement between Ast, the Region and the Municipality. Oncology and hematology remain in Muraglia. The AST has published two calls for tenders. The first to look for properties to rent to move the Nursing Degree Course, the CSM (Mental Health Centre), the DCA (Centre for Eating Disorders), the Sampling Center and the Female and Male Protected Communities.
The second to transfer the services of the “Tomasello” RSA (27 beds), the Residential Rehabilitation Facility (SRR with 18 beds) and, possibly, if only the premises with the other tender are not found, also the two protected communities (40 beds in total).
