Gavio takes over from Gavio. A12 from Sestri Levante to Livorno, A15 and A10 from Savona to Ventimiglia managed by Concessioni del Tirreno

The Piedmontese holding company already had a concession (with the companies of the Salt group and Autostrada dei Fiori) for the Ligurian motorway sections. The new concession awarded through a European tender by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport

The Gavio Group has taken over some concessions in Liguria and Tuscany which, before their expiry, were entrusted to two other motorway companies controlled by the Piedmontese holding company, namely Salt and Autostrada dei Fiori. The Mims ministry (formerly Transport) has entrusted the Tirreno Concession Project Company (of the Astm Group, controlled by Gavio) with the concession of four motorway sections, for a total length of 268 kilometres: A12 Sestri Levante-Livorno, A11/A12 Viareggio -Lucca, A15 branch to La Spezia (whose concessions to Salt had expired on 31 July 2019) and the A10 Ventimiglia-Savona, whose concession to Fiori had expired on 30 November 2021.

«The new concession is managed continuously by the ASTM Group which controls both CdT and the outgoing companies – says a company note -. The ASTM Group, among the main infrastructural players at an international level in the management of motorway concessions, in the design and construction of large works and in technology applied to mobility, confirms itself as a reference for motorway mobility in Tuscany and Liguria, two regions with a very strong vocation tourism and a crucial role in international port logistics. The concession, assigned by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport at the end of a European tender, provides for the conclusion of the projects launched by Salt and AdF as well as significant new investments, indicated in the tender, aimed at further raising the safety levels of the routes and offer an ever better quality of service to motorway users”.

«As regards the staff of the two outgoing concessionaires, the employment relationship continues without interruption in CdT, maintaining the headquarters, role, contractual level and relative seniority acquired unchanged, as envisaged in the tender notice – continues the company -. With the completion of the takeover, Salt continues to manage the A15 Parma – La Spezia section under concession while AdF manages the A6 Turin – Savona section, continuing with the important modernization plan currently underway”.
