Another prestigious success for the Legnano Swimming Teamwhich last weekend (1-2 June) won the 53rd International Castle Meeting in Bellinzonabeating competition from 14 other teams from Italy, Switzerland and even Brazil
They are well 52 medals won (15 gold, 22 silver and 15 bronze), to which is added the best male performance of the event, obtained by Matteo Salvatori in the 100 freestyle, with a time of 52.25.
Two days of intense competitions, the first outdoors for the Team, with a full workload in anticipation of the upcoming regional and Italian summer events, and the results were decidedly encouraging. «I am very satisfied with what the boys did in this first outing in the open pool – commented the Team Director, Gianni Leoni. “For some it was a real tour de
force, because we deliberately decided to have many races and test the physical and mental fitness of our athletes, especially those from whom we expect a good leap in quality in the coming months. The response was very positive and the success in this important and historic event also confirms the solidity of the entire group and the growth of the entire Team.”
