Support for the two candidates from Acri
Capalbo, sitting at his desk in city hall, says: «A big support from us goes to two Acresian candidatesIvan Sposato and Gennaro Cofone, representatives of 157 of our fellow citizens residing in Bardolino. We invite all Acresians who live there to vote for them to demonstrate that we are a community that makes its contribution to the institutions.” The mayor of Acri then also thanks the outgoing mayor of Bardolino Lauro Sabaini, who is not running for a second term: «We have a relationship of respect and friendship with Sabaini. He came to visit me in Acri and I went to Bardolino. With him we set up the project to create a twinning between our two communities, considering that a large part of the economic-productive fabric of Bardolino is represented by the Acresi”.
The last round
The economic fabric to which Capalbo refers is that of catering and gods public places, which in Bardolino are largely acquired and managed by Calabrians. In the last 2019 elections Sabaini was elected mayor with a gap of only 37 votes over his opponent Daniele Bertasi. This is how even the votes of the «Calabrian community» made the difference, which focused on the preferences for Domenica Currò, originally from Vibo Valentia, (Cz), later appointed to the council. Now both outgoing members, councilor Currò and mayor Sabaini, are not running again.
