L’AQUILA – “Abruzzo has a unique opportunity: to have a representative in Europe to defend our territory and the entire South. I am convinced of this not only because of the objective and important opportunities of Forza Italia, a party that is certainly awaited from an extraordinary result, but also for the climate of great affection, availability and sharing that we have breathed in this long electoral campaign”.
This was said by the architect and entrepreneur from L’Aquila Eliseo Iannini, candidate for the European elections on 8 and 9 June in the Southern constituency, participating last night in the inauguration of the new Forza Italia headquarters in Spoltore, in the province of Pescara. Iannini spoke like the other Abruzzo candidate Antonella Ballone, the regional coordinator Nazario Pagano, deputy and president of the Constitutional Affairs commission, and the president of the regional council Lorenzo Sospiri. On the merits, the L’Aquila entrepreneur, founder in 1984 of the group of the same name whose contract passed to the second generation, in particular to his son Davide, underlined that there are many challenges that the next EU will have to face, some of them very complex indeed ” for a Europe closer to citizens”, such as the measures to be adopted to balance the potentially negative effects of digital advancement, artificial intelligence, the environment, synthetic food and taxes on the upgrading of homes and electric cars.
