Giulia was riding her bicycle when she was hit by a van driven by a 22-year-old. The young woman was pushed to the Botteniga river and there she was found, submerged in the water and on her stomach, by a passer-by who, together with others, did their utmost to bring her to safety and carry out the first rescue maneuvers whilst waiting for the emergency services. healthcare. The 38-year-old died after several hours in hospital. «We remain at the disposal of the city authorities for build better roads together and safer and we reserve the right to suggest some future changes for that particular stretch of road, aimed in particular at moderating speed, ascertained as the primary cause of impacts in an urban context – explains Maggioni -.
