Carabinieri, Giordano (Ugl Matera): “Congratulations, you are a point of reference for the entire provincial territory”

“I would like to express, on the occasion of the 210th anniversary of the foundation of the Carabinieri, the gratitude and appreciation of the Ugl Matera to the women and men of the force committed to protecting public order and security in our province, Region, in Italy as in all international scenarios. An institution with ancient roots and a modern outlook, which has always maintained an extraordinary vocation for sacrifice on the part of the citizen.

I extend my heartfelt wishes to the Provincial Commander of Matera, Colonel Giovanni Russo, and to all the women and men who have been working 24 hours a day to protect the community for 210 years with dedication, courage and sacrifice alongside people and at the service of entire territory of Matera which today celebrates the anniversary of the foundation of the Army: for over two centuries at our side for peace, the protection of the freedoms of our civil coexistence which sees the Army operating in the garrison offered on the provincial territory by the network of Stations”.

This is the thought that the Provincial Secretary of the General Labor Union of Matera, Pino Giordano, addresses to the Carabinieri on the occasion of the 210th anniversary of the foundation. Today Secretary Giordano, upon the welcome invitation of the Carabinieri Provincial Command, will be present at the ceremony which will take place in Matera, at 6.30 pm in Piazza San Pietro Caveoso presided over by the Provincial Commander, Colonel Giovanni Russo, who will reward the soldiers who have distinguished themselves in service.
