POZZUOLI| The Giacinto Diano school “partially” reopens

The technicians’ investigations have been completed in order to verify the actual existence of the usability conditions of the structure, the Municipality of Pozzuoli has arranged the partial reopening of the “Giacinto Diano” school. The previous closure orders have therefore been revoked following the earthquakes of 20 and 21 May which, after appropriate checks, had placed the institute in a condition of temporary unusability.

Construction sites remain in progress regarding some parts of the structure, which still require adaptation work, but in the rest of the school it is possible to resume activities. In particular, the ordinance provides part of the Body C (classrooms no. 9, 10, 11, 12, 22, 27 and 1st service block) usable for carrying out teaching activitiesand part of B body (didactic-administrative secretariat and related services block) can be used for carrying out administrative activities. The remaining part of the building not mentioned is considered a construction site for the construction of the buildings safety and seismic adaptation interventions.

However, it remains confirmed closure of teaching activities and ATA staff limited to the sports hall Ericplexus Montenuovo and plexus Artiacodue to the identified need to carry out further checks and assessments as well as any urgent works.
