Following the controversies that have arisen in recent days around the issue of bradyseism and in particular on those who “play” on the need for economic support from the Municipality and the Government, the entrepreneur from Pozzuoli Lino Tricone wanted to express his opinion to our editorial staff.
“Many jackals have sprung up on the earthquake issue and are trying to get something out of this situation. In the end, it is the city that is damaged because by doing so the territory is subject to attack by the national media and in general also by those who complain. So people are afraid and the local economy of Pozzuoli is brought to its knees”, he claims Trincone.
“I never wanted to attack citizen committees – continues the entrepreneur – who express their dissent to the Government and who have my support, but are against the looters who are harming the city. We cannot raise the specter of environmental disaster caused by an eruption that probably won’t happen. The city must move forward, the media looters have done more damage than the earthquake.”
And he concludes Trincone underlining that: “It’s not an entire city damaged, but there are buildings that are currently unusable and need to be repaired but not torn down. The Government must support us but it is important to say that this is not a city to be evacuated, on the contrary. We are the only land, after Rome, to be built on the foundations of Roman buildings 800 years ago, so anyone who defines us as illegal is talking nonsense.”
