As part of the extraordinary territorial control services aimed at ensuring a constant presence of the State Police on the territory and increasing the perception of safety among citizens, on Thursday, extraordinary services were carried out in the city aimed at combating drug dealing drugs and widespread crime.
Yesterday, around 11.30 am, a crew from the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office, while passing through Strada Garibaldi, on its own initiative subjected to checks a foreign person who, in a suspicious manner, was traveling along the street riding a bicycle.
The subject, who immediately showed intolerance of police control, was subjected to a personal search. This activity gave a positive result, allowing a block of Hashish-type narcotic substance with a total weight of approximately 100 grams to be found hidden on his person, inside a trouser pocket.
In light of this, the foreigner was therefore accompanied to the Police Headquarters offices where, at the end of the photo-signalling activities, he was identified as a 30-year-old Tunisian, irregular on the national territory, and was then arrested for the crime of detention for the purpose of dealing of narcotic substances.
The citizen was also reported to be free for the crime of refusing to provide information on his personal identity, having provided the officers with false personal details during the initial stages of the police check.
At the end of the ritual activities, at the disposal of the local Judicial Authority, he was held in the security rooms of the Police Headquarters awaiting the very direct ritual which was celebrated this morning, following which the judge, having validated the arrest, ordered the application of the residence ban measure in Parma and in the province. Procedures aimed at his expulsion from the national territory are underway.
