What weather will there be in Italy in the next few days? The answer is given by the meteorologist of 3bmeteo.com Edoardo Ferrara, who takes stock of the situation: «After the latest storms on Tuesday, from Wednesday the Afro-Mediterranean anticyclone will strengthen over Italy with mostly stable and sunny weather at least for a few day”.

«Summer tests therefore throughout the peninsula, also for Northern Italy which will experience a respite after this long rainy and stormy period. Just in the Alps, some local heat storms may still break out, as often happens in these circumstances. Temperatures will rise sharply throughout Italy, in particular between Friday and the weekend when very hot air masses from North Africa will hit the Peninsula”, explains Ferrara. Which then anticipates the peaks that will be reached: «We will thus have the first 30°C in the North (but with even higher peaks in Emilia Romagna), while in the Centre-South we will be able to exceed peaks of 32-33°C (up to peaks of 34 -35°C in Puglia, Basilicata, Calabra, Sicily and Sardinia at the weekend). A few degrees less in general along the coastal sectors, mitigated by sea breezes.”

«The stable phase should last no more than 4-5 days at least for the North, where yet another unstable and stormy phase could begin as early as Sunday 10th, together with a new drop in temperatures. In the following days the Center could also be marginally involved, while in the South the weather should generally remain warmer and drier”, conclude from 3bmeteo.com.
