young man saved by passers-by and the police – ekuonews.it

TERAMO – Yesterday afternoon in Teramo in the Villa Pavone district, passers-by noticed a young man walking on the train tracks. Even though he was called back, he showed no signs of stopping as he went towards the train that was about to arrive from Teramo. They immediately, via the Single Emergency Number, alerted the carabinieri who arrived immediately and thanks to their providential intervention as well as the skilled maneuver of the train driver who was alerted from the operations room, they saved the young man’s life. In fact, the boy of foreign nationality in the throes of a severe crisis was entrusted to the doctors of an ambulance who took him to the Teramo hospital where he was admitted.

The positive epilogue of this story is the synthesis of the collaboration between the protagonists of the story: the citizens who noticed the danger immediately called for help, the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile who rushed to the scene, the Carabinieri of the operations center who, in addition to sending the car alerted the railways to report the danger and last but not least the train driver who, as soon as he was alerted, implemented all the procedures that allowed the train to stop safely.
