Bologna, 4 June 2024 – Starting tomorrow it will start from Malpighi square to get directly to Marconidirect, electric, ecological, three words that perfectly describe the new bus service Marconi Express.
In view of the high season of airport traffic, Marconi Express 949 launches: the new road line activated by Marconi Express And Tper in agreement with the Municipality of Bolognawill support the monorail service during the summer, directly connecting Marconi airport and the city center, with the terminus in Piazza Malpighi, without intermediate stops.
When it will be active
The line will be active for a period of three months until September 8th and will have duration of 22 hours per day, starting from 4 am with the first ride from Malpighi square until 2am, last ride from the airport at 1.32am.
There frequencytraffic and construction sites permitting, will be one ride every 33 minutes. “In the months in which the topic of public transport, given the arrival of summer tourists, becomes particularly hot, this service takes on an even more important connotation.
Path
The municipality together with Tper has specifically studied a pathdedicated only to this line, which takes into account roads and construction sites in order to try to guarantee an excellent service” he comments Valentina Orioli, Councilor for New Mobility and Infrastructure of the Municipality of Bologna. Tickets
The titles can be used on the new service Marconi Express at the same price as the monorail, 12.80 euros, with the possibility of payment contactless at the turnstiles installed on the buses: the titles include urban integration of 75 minutes and full operability with the people mover.
The new discounted rate is also available ‘Flex only Bus 949’, worth 9.80 euros for a single trip, without urban integration. Tickets will be available for purchase on the site MarconiExpress.it, at the ticket machine at the airport terminus and through theRoger appselecting the title ‘Flex solo Bus 949’.
“With a capacity of 70 people the new buses on line 949 will be able to handle the huge flow of passengers.
