Shortcomings and problems in the northern health district, Foschi writes to the general director of the ASL

«I find myself forced to disturb you to draw your attention to a deficiency that was reported to me by users of the Pescara Nord health district, a deficiency that is now dated and has never been addressed, in fact it has gradually gotten worse».
Thus begins the letter that city councilor Armando Foschi sent to the general director of the ASL, Vero Michitelli.

Then Foschi continues: «I am referring to the Hematology blood sampling clinic: outside the facility there are no longer any seats (they have been removed) for users who are waiting for the service to open or who are waiting for their turn. And, inside, there are just four seats, absolutely insufficient for the users. There is not even a roof outside, to ensure minimal shelter for users in case of rain. I am sure that the Local Health Authority can intervene promptly and with a very minimal expense to meet the needs of users, made up of sick people who reach the clinic at 7 in the morning for the blood sample, in case of rain or with 30 degrees: I believe that patients should be welcomed adequately, both in hospital and in local facilities and I am sure that I will receive a positive and prompt response from you.”
