Wednesday 5 June at 6pm there House of Women of Ravennain collaboration with the Femminile Maschile Plurale association hosts Maria Luisa Boccia at the Fem Garden in via Rocca ai Fossi, in the Rocca Brancaleone areapolitical philosopher and feminist, president of the Center for State Reform.
Together with her we will address very current issues, starting from her book Tempi di Guerra, reflections of a feminist. They dialogue with the author Maria Paola Patuelli and Barbara Domenichini.
THE BOOK
Times of war, reflection of a feminist, written in 2023, starts from the Russian invasion of Ukraine to weave a feminist reflection on politics, peace and wars of the last twenty years and arrive at asking a question that concerns us closely: can feminist thought and practices counter the reduction of politics to war?
THE AUTHOR
Professor of political philosophy at the University of Siena, he is president of the Center for State Reform. She has always been involved in politics and the feminist movement. The practice of lei among women began in 1974 in Florence with the Collettivo di donne Rosa, from which the magazine “Quaderni di studio e dimotion sulla stato della donna” was also born. Subsequently you gave birth to other women’s magazines (“Memoria”, “Orsaminore”, “Reti”) and various experiences of women’s groups including “Il Gruppo del Wednesday”.
