It starts on June 14th in Rescaldina, on the 27th in Legnano. Registrations open
Legnano – Rescaldina – Second edition for the StraResca, third for the PAM Race, two competitive, non-competitive and Nordic Walking stages united under the sign of two sports associations from the Alto Milanese area, in collaboration with the Municipalities of Rescaldina and Legnano, organizers of the 3rd edition of the “SUMMER TOUR UNDER THE STARS”. The two foot races enjoy FIDAL recognition and they will run on June 14th with departure at 8.30pm in Rescaldina (S+ Center in via B.Melzi, 83) and on June 27th with departure at 8pm from the athletics track in via della Pace di Legnano before “diving” into the Alto Milanese park. Registration for both events is already open on the site, Click here. All races will be timed and for Family runs children aged 0 to 14 will run for free.
StraResca
There StraResca includes competitive and non-competitive courses on a 6.5 kilometer route also open to Nord Walking enthusiasts, as well as a 4 kilometer Family run. Same formula also for the Pam race whose distance is 5.5 kilometers. The initiative is promoted by SportPiù and Runners Legnano, with the patronage of the Municipalities of Rescaldina and Legnano, the Consortium of the Alto Milanese Park, FISDIR and ACSI. Present at the presentation press conference on mayor of Rescaldina Gilles Ielo and the sports councilor of Legnano Guido Bragatothe latter in his speech underlined the importance of wanting to raise awareness of both the Altomilanese Park and the recently renovated athletics track, in an event organized by companies such as Runners Legnano and Sport+ which in the past have often staged competitions which have been very successful.
The debut of Flavio Castiglioni of WFP
Official debut for the new president of the WFP Flavio Castiglioni who reiterated the intention of wanting to continue this initiative in the future, underlining the fact of how the park should be experienced, and in this regard it will be made more usable thanks also to the arrangement of some paths and entrances.
“We expect a great turnout – this is how Annalisa Bombelli, president of Runners Legnano, expressed herself – for us it is a sort of summer party, there will be prizes for the top five classified in each category, we believe in this project which intends to enhance Parco Altomilanese”.
“For sport, but also to promote the culture of sport and experience a moment of community in our cities and our parks”, explained Stefano Colombo, president of SportPiù. Which he added: “The summer Tour under the stars is part of a broader bouquet of foot races. We started with the first edition of the LIUC Run and after the summer we will continue with the Galla Run in Gallarate and the Varese City Run”.
