A violent one earthquake this night happened in Swiss it brought fear among hips beyond the Swiss border. The seismic shock was recorded at 2.34 this night, Tuesday 4 June 2024, with the epicenter PragelpassAlpine pass that connects the cantons of Glarus and Schwyz in central Switzerland.
The tremor was recorded at a depth of 8 kilometers and was also felt in several locations in northern Italy.

The news of tonight’s earthquake was reported by the Swiss seismic servicereporting that the intensity of the tremor was magnitude 4.4 and that a danger level 3 (i.e. orange). A corresponding level, according to the definition provided by the specialized natural hazard services of the Confederation, to a marked and concrete danger.
In a note, as also reported the dayit is read: “The Swiss Seismic Service recorded an earthquake in canton of Schwyz, approximately 6 km south-west of Wägitalersee. The earthquake occurred on June 4, 2024 at 02:34:32. This earthquake was probably felt throughout Switzerland. An earthquake of this magnitude can cause some minor damage near the epicenter.”

Lombardy is also shaking
According to the report drawn up by the Swiss body, the strong earthquake was felt up to 100 kilometers away from the epicenter. Among the places where the earthquake was felt most were also the cities di Lucerne, Zurich, Winterthur and St. Gallen.
