In June 2022, the Milan Club Faenza, founded in 1984 by Carlo Sangiorgipioneer of Rossoneri support in the city and named after him.
Two intense years of activity for the association led by Giuseppe Sangiorgison and first collaborator of Carlo, who followed a line of continuity.
If champions such as Baresi, Ancelotti, Massaro, Rossi and the legendary Gianni Rivera were in fact in the city between the 90s and 2000s, in the last 24 months the Manfredo association of Rossoneri supporters has in fact given rise to some important events with great athletes.
In 2022 it was Arrigo Sacchithe coach protagonist of the start of the cycle of the great “Milan of the invincibles” to officially inaugurate the rebirth of the Rossoneri association.
Then in 2023, the Milan Club Faenza welcomed the pair of Cesena players made up of the goalkeeper Sebastiano Rossi and by the attacker Massimo Agostiniand the coach Alberto Zaccheroni, who led Milan to the Scudetto in 1999.
In 2024 he was in Faenza to present his autobiographical book Alberico Evanianother champion of Berlusconi’s AC Milan era, winner of the 2021 European Championships as deputy coach of the Italian national team.
The series will continue Wednesday 13 June to the Faenza Tennis Club where the Brazilian will be a guest Nelson De Jesus Silva,for everyone Didanow coach, who in the role of doormanconsidered one of the best of his generation: he was world champion with the Brazilian national team in 2002, and won everything with Milan: two Champions Leagues, as many European Super Cups, a Club World Cup, an Italian Championship, an Italian Cup and an Italian Super Cup.
Successes that are added to those achieved in his homeland for an extraordinary palmares that also includes: a Brazilian Cup, a Brazilian Championship, a Copa de Oro, a Copa Libertadores, a Club World Cup, a Recopa Sudamericano, a Supercopa Masters and seven state championships.
With the national green gold he also won an Under 20 World Championship and an Olympic bronze. He ranked fourth, third and second in the best goalkeeper of the year in 2003, 2004 and 2005. In 2005 he was named FIF Pro World XI goalkeeper.
These events of great impact and interest for all sports fans, not only the Rossoneri, with the presence in the city of great champions who talk about their human and sporting experiences, are only part of the intense activity of the “Milan Club Faenza Carlo Sangiorgi”, affiliated to the Italian Milan Club Association (AIMC) which implements many initiatives for members who have exceeded the number of 400.
It goes fromorganization of group trips at the San Siro “Meazza” stadium in Milan, at vshared viewing of matches on the big screen in the headquarters at the Green Districtto member services through information campaigns and management of the fan card “Red and Black Heart” to solidarity actions (such as the donation to the voluntary association Insieme a te ODV), to meetings with fun quizzes on knowledge of the Rossoneri world, to participation with one’s own team in amateur football tournaments.
The Milan Club Faenza wants to concretely reiterate a loyal relationship of healthy rivalry and friendship with the other supporter clubs of other Serie A teams present in the city in the name of healthy support inspired by fair play.
This has already been done this season with the Bologna Club Faenza.
