Solved the scoring problem for master’s graduates in Basilicata

ANIEF obtains recognition of the service provided for teachers excluded from the GAE

An important result was achieved for teachers with master’s degrees in Basilicata, thanks to the intervention of the ANIEF union and the issuing of Ministerial Ordinance no. 88 of 16 May 2024. The ordinance provides for the recognition of the score of the services provided even if based on canceled appointments, thus resolving a dispute that penalized many Lucanian teachers excluded from the Full Rankings (GAE).

In recent years, the ANIEF union has faced a long dispute involving thousands of teachers with master’s degrees. These teachers, particularly in the territorial areas of Matera and Potenza, had been removed from the GAE and had had the legal validity of the services provided revoked. This had negative repercussions on the score in the provincial and institute rankings, causing work and economic difficulties for numerous families.

The ANIEF regional president of Basilicata, prof. Nuccio Santochirico highlighted the importance of collaboration between unions and institutions to avoid future disputes. The resolution of the problem was possible thanks to constant dialogue with the institutions and the union’s incessant commitment to teachers’ rights.

The national president of ANIEF, prof. Marcello Pacifico underlined how the result obtained represents a significant victory for teachers’ rights and an example of how collective commitment can lead to concrete and positive changes.

Furthermore, ANIEF Basilicata has activated a free assistance desk to support teachers in the correct presentation of scores for the provincial rankings for substitute teachers (GPS), the deadline for which expires on 10 June 2024.
