Catania – Five generations of women over 73 years, a large Catania family that in six months will have 77 grandchildren. This is a real record not yet made known, but only because social media had not yet caught on when Nataly was born in 2008. She is the fifth generation of this family and today she has become a splendid 16-year-old, a “candidate” to procreate sixth generation. However, the fact remains that five generations in 73 years is truly a record in Italy, all to be dedicated to Concetta Castagna, born in 1935, or the “forefather” who will turn 89 next December. Concetta is now a great-great-grandmother and still clearly remembers even the difficult periods of the Second World War. The history of the family began with the union of the cousins (because they were the children of two brothers) Concetta and Orazio Castagna, who fathered 12 children, two of whom were missing: one at the age of four months, when Concetta was only 16 years old , and the other at the age of five.

The second daughter, Cettina, was born in June 1954, the other nine siblings are still living. Nunziella Arcidiacono was born to Cettina Castagna, now a great-grandmother (in 1977) and, at the age of 16, she gave birth to Roberta Sentina (in 1993). In 2008, at the age of 15, Roberta gave birth to Nataly Guerrera, thus also making Nunziella a grandmother. In the published photo we see them all, from left to right, in chronological order.
