Around 11pm, a 40-year-old Italian man and a 35-year-old Lithuanian man got into a heated argument in the presence of numerous witnesses, but at the height of the argument the foreign citizen pulled out a gun and fired a shot at his rival’s right leg, immediately fleeing.

The victim was helped by those present and subsequently by a 118 ambulance: the doctors ascertained that the 40-year-old had a wound in the groin, which is why he was transported to the “Sandro Pertini” hospital in Rome.

The police officers of the Tivoli police station and the Rome police station intervened on site. Based on the testimonies collected, the investigators identified the Lithuanian and reached him in the occupied council house in Piazza Aldo Moro: the man is currently in custody.
