Latina, stabbed in Piazza Giovanni XXIII arrives at Goretti with the blade still stuck in his belly

The mobile team of the Latina police station is investigating what happened yesterday afternoon in Largo Giovanni XXIII, on the ring road of the capital city, where two Tunisians both injured by stab wounds were taken to the Santa Maria Goretti hospital not on board a ambulance, but rather the cars of some acquaintances, one of them with a ten centimeter blade still stuck in his belly. It all happened in a few moments around 5pm in a kebab a stone’s throw from Palazzo Lamaro and the Nicolosi district, one of the most problematic areas of the capital. The police officers intervened on the spot but, once they arrived at the intersection, they found no one left. The two foreigners, in fact, contrary to what happens most of the time, had already been taken to the Pontine hospital not by 118, but by some private cars, and were immediately admitted to the emergency room.

Although they had both suffered superficial injuries, one of them still had a bladed weapon in his body, a knife extracted by doctors after the CT scan without further complications or new interventions. At the moment, neither of them is in danger of life. However, it remains to be ascertained whether the two episodes are connected to each other or not. A task that falls to the agents of the Mobile team of deputy commissioner Mattia Falso, who after the photo identification of the injured started the investigation to understand the context in which the double stabbing occurred.

This is the third case of violence in Latina in the space of 48 hours, after the sixteen-year-old hit with bottles on Saturday evening in the nightlife area and the twenty-seven-year-old victim of an ambush in Viale Pier Luigi Nervi the same night.
