Time is ticking and the market is now upon us. Officially the start date is July 1st, but the clubs as well as Parma have already started to move and test the waters to understand which profiles to go for and how to manage any redundancies. The company has already studied an important plan with guidelines to follow and the identikit of different profiles to strengthen the group available to Fabio Pecchia for the next, and important, season in Serie A. The experience that has gained in these years has been useful and in this sense the full confirmation of the managers and technical staff has arrived. An important and not obvious signal to continue on a traced line and carry out a project in a linear way and without biting off more than you can chew. In short, it’s time to return to the market and understand which profiles are most suitable for the characteristics of the coach’s game.
We need a central defender and a left-footed full-back
Leaving aside for a second the goalkeeping chapter which we have already written and spoken about extensively in recent days: Perin is among the favorites on the list but he is not the only one. But there is an understanding to be seen of the needs of the Crusaders in the other roles. In defence, while waiting to understand Osorio’s future – he should be sold and the America’s Cup can play to Parma’s advantage in this sense – the names of the last few days are a nice mix: from the experience of Ferrari of Sassuolo to the youth of Pirola and Baniya. For the first, at the moment we intend to wait and understand the evolution of other situations, especially in relation to sales. Pirola’s is a name that has come out in recent days: the 2002 class was relegated with Salernitana and beyond this he currently has a very high price tag (around 7-8 million). Lastly there is the central defender born in Bologna, but a Turkish national, and currently plays in his homeland with Trabzonspor. Physically well set up, young and with the future on his side, in short, the ideal profile for Parma and from Turkey there have been rumors of a couple of official offers from some Serie A clubs.
Major-Tessmann: the odd couple
Different profiles, with different characteristics and we are talking about Maggiore and Tessmann. The former was relegated to Serie B with Salernitana and Parma have been following him for months to understand how to strike a blow. He has a contract expiring in 2026, but obviously given a good offer and the interest of the Ducale club he certainly wouldn’t hesitate to find the right compromise to leave Campania. Obviously smaller figures given the good experience gained in the top league. Tessmann’s situation is different, however. The 2001 class celebrated their promotion to Serie A in the last few hours and could also renew their contract with the lagoon players. A truly very interesting player and he demonstrated it in the academy where, with goals and quality play, he impressed the many observers who came to watch him in the various matches. Among the interested spectators there was also Parma, twice faced as an opponent, and always left excellent feedback to the transfer market men of the Crusader club. Venezia’s economic needs, then, could be another point in Krause’s favor in trying to get the player at advantageous prices. At the moment only interest and no concrete contact, as had been the case for Pohjanpalo in the previous weeks.
