Velletri, Cesare loses his memory in the performance of the scenes of the Sole Luna school, at the Aurora Theatre

Friday 31 May, at Aurora Theater of Velletrithe students of fifth grades (sections A, B and C) of the plexus Sun Moonbelonging toVelletri South West Comprehensive Institute, they performed in a play entitled “Caesar… An emperor without memory”.

In the play, the protagonist, the great Roman Consul and Emperor, while eating a bunch of grapes, lying sideways on the “triclinium”, fell backwards and, hitting his head, lost his memory. From that moment he will no longer remember anything about his life… From the pen of the author-friend Vincent and revisited by the teachers, the story unfolds in a succession of amusing episodes and misunderstandings, all seasoned with irony and comedy, which alternate with Roman and Veliterne dialect expressions.

The small, great “budding” actors also attempted choreographies that linked the present and the past through a musical “kermesse”, recalling show business characters of today and yesterday. The performance ended with an exciting and engaging finale, which also saw the large audience present at the evening as protagonists.

We thank the Artistic Director of the Aurora Theatre, Maurizio Catesefor his kind availability and Headmaster, Dr. Isabella Pitonepresent at the evening, who with his contribution made the event possible, the result of a project shared with the teaching staff.

We also thank the Deputy Mayor Mrs Chiara ErcoliCouncilor for Culture, School and Public Education, who honored the Sole Luna complex and the entire IC Velletri Sud-Ovest with his presence and as a representative of the city institutions.

We are grateful to the families of the students for the enthusiasm shown and for their precious contribution and collaboration in creating, as skilled tailors, the splendid stage costumes that made the show beautiful and elegant.

Finally, special thanks go to the teachers, whose supreme art, quoting Albert Einstein, is to “awaken the joy of creativity and knowledge”, but above all a special applause to the children, who managed, thanks to this theatrical experience, to express and express their hidden gifts and talents; with their interpretations they gave emotions, leaving the audience suspended, for a moment, in the magical flow of scenes and images and reaching straight to the heart with their enthusiasm.
