Appeal from the workers of Abramo CC to the people of Crotone: “United, we can make a difference”

The workers of Abramo Customer Care, aware of the serious situation that threatens their jobs and the local economy, have launched a heartfelt appeal to citizens. “Time is almost up, but we don’t intend to resign ourselves or even give up. We don’t want to and we can’t do it,” they declared with determination. This fight is not only about safeguarding 500 jobs, but also about the economic and social survival of the entire province.

The importance of the issue cannot be underestimated. The loss of so many jobs would have devastating effects on the entire community. “Losing 500 jobs here is equivalent to the economic and social death of the entire province. This is why this fight must see us united: we ask you to be with us!”, the workers urged.

In a symbolic gesture of protest, workers began collecting voter ID cards. “Men and women without work are without dignity and without a future, and therefore devoid of real ‘citizenship’. Let’s put our right/duty as citizens back in the hands of the Prefect, and therefore of the State, because we feel we have already been de facto deprived of it”, they explained.

The collection point for electoral cards was set up in the company atrium this morning, Monday 3 June, while starting from this afternoon they will move to Piazza della Resistenza, where some gazebos will be set up.

The workers of Abraham have launched an appeal to all citizens, trade associations, committees and anyone who cares about the future of the area. “We invite everyone to stand with us in this fight. United we can make a difference!”

The Abraham Customer Care crisis represents a critical moment for the entire local community. The mobilization of workers and their call for solidarity underline the importance of joining forces to face this challenge. It is a call to action to save not only jobs, but also the dignity and future of the province.
