Tomorrow morning at Palazzo dei Bruzi in Cosenza, at 10, the president of the city council, Giuseppe Mazzucawill welcome the little “Ambassadors of the United Nations”.
In addition to the president of the city council Giuseppe Mazzuca, the mayor’s delegate for culture will participate Franz Caruso, Antonietta Cozza.
These are some students from the schools of the “Fermi” Scientific High School, the “Telesio” High School and the Itas-Itc institute of Rossano who, accompanied by professor Rosanna Garofalo, will receive certificates of participation in a great experience that they have completed in recent weeks: a trip to the United States after a training course they took in Italy.
An interesting program carried out by the student ambassadors of the United Nations in the Italian Diplomatic Academy. The latter is an Italian Academy for training and higher international studies.
During the course they dealt with various thematic areas: from geopolitics to contemporary history, from international law to the United Nations system, public speaking and negotiation strategies, and other topics relating to international relations. A journey that concluded in New York with a simulation of the functioning of the United Nations bodies, “Future we Want Modern United Nations”, during which the students from Cosenza carried out 60 practical hours for an eight-day stay.
