According to the Prato court, Emiliano Laurini was the instigator of the punitive expedition against Martina Mucci, his 33-year-old ex-girlfriend who in February 2023 was the victim of an ambush under her home, where she was beaten and scarred. The man, a 42-year-old bouncer, was sentenced to 9 years in prison for the crimes of disfigurement, serious injuries, domestic abuse and will be able to serve his sentence under house arrest. Two other men were also convicted together with him: Mattia Schininnà and Kevin Mingoia.
The sentences
Emiliano Laurina, the victim’s ex-boyfriend, was judged in an abbreviated manner after spending more than a year in the Florentine prison of Sollicciano. The mansAccording to the provisions of judge Marco Malerba, he will be able to serve his 9-year sentence under house arrest in his father’s house in southern Tuscany.
The sentence also imposes the sentence on Mattia Schininnà and Kevin Mingoia: Mingoia physically participated in the expedition with another boy (a minor who is currently in the community), and Schininnà would have been the intermediary between the instigator and the thugs. The first was sentenced to 6 years and 8 months, the second to 4 years.
All the convicted attended the same gym in Scandicci (Florence).
The defendants were also charged with the crime of robbery, which refers to taking the victim’s bag after the attack. A crime for which only Kevin Mingoia was considered guilty, while the others were acquitted. The prosecutor’s office had requested a prison sentence of eight years and six months for Laurini.
The victim, Martina Mucci, after witnessing the reading of the sentence in court said: “I’m tired, the trials were a very hard experience and I prefer not to comment for now”.
