The hypothesis of femicide returns to the fore in the case of passing of Greta Spreafico. The prosecutor’s office reopened the case on the 53-year-old who disappeared two years ago, on 4 June 2022, from Porto Tolleafter the investigations were closed last year. The name of a new suspect now appears in the file.
Greta Spreafico, the Rovigo Prosecutor’s Office reopens the case
Now, two years after the disappearance of the singer Greta Spreafico and a year after the closure of the investigations, the Rovigo Prosecutor’s Office reopened the case revealing only the registration of a new suspect for i crimes of murder and concealment of a corpse.
Greta’s family have always rejected the idea that she had left voluntarily or that she had been killed by gardener from Porto Tolle, known on social media and with whom he had spent the last few days. This man, initially investigated for kidnapping and concealment of a body, was then cleared after a year.
From the beginning, Greta’s brother had set the sights about ex boyfriend, claiming it had distanced her from her family and care. Some witnessesinitially ignored by the investigators, had reported having seen this ex-boyfriend in Porto Tolle the day before Greta’s disappearance.
Possible economic motive
Greta, originally from Como, was in Porto Tolle to finalize the sale of a family property. There could be an economic motive behind the alleged femicide: Greta had expressed the intention to exclude your ex-boyfriend from your willa married man and father of two children, who had promised her in vain to leave his family to marry her.
