Livorno, 3 June 2024 – The municipal pharmacy n.4 in via Marradi 181 has been opened with a new look, subject, as part of Farma.li’s investment projects for the year 2024, of an expansion intervention in following the purchase of the adjacent land.
Pharmacy 4, together with Pharmacy 8 “Grande” and Pharmacy 5 “Montebello”, represents a strategic presence in the city center for the Farma.Li municipal pharmacy system. and the merger of the two real estate units in via Marradi as well as the provision of furnishings and equipment is consistent with a modern vision of the pharmacy.
The pharmacy model that is emerging for the next few years assumes that, thanks also to the agreement with the National Health System, pharmacies will rapidly evolve from traditional drug dispensing points to real territorial centers and reference centers for the well-being of citizens. The pandemic crisis caused by Covid-19 has made the acceleration of the evolutionary process of pharmacies more urgent than ever, so that the proposed innovations can be fully implemented within certain and rapid times.
To strengthen the services offered by municipal pharmacies to users of the city centre, the Management of Farma.Li has aimed to increase the potential of the Marradi Pharmacy, thanks to the purchase of the commercial property, of approximately 82 m2. of surface, adjacent to the current location of the pharmacy. By doing so, Pharmacy 4 has a total gross surface area of approximately 175 m2, compared to 93 m2. current, certainly more adequate for current and future needs.
These are the new features:
– more suitable display spaces have been created in the layout which allow the range of products on offer to be expanded, improving their visibility;
– the spaces have been optimized to allow, in addition to the traditional and typical activities of the pharmacy (sale of medicines and pharmaceutical products, personalized advice on products for health, well-being and prevention), also the socio-health services for which the Municipal Pharmacies of Livorno have been a point of reference for years, in the context of agreements with the Tuscany Region and with the Local Health Authority.
Among these services are CUP bookings, telecardiology, carrying out rapid antigen tests, self-analysis and administration of vaccines.
