Grottaglie (Ta) – A real revolution is what is happening in the road sector around theTaranto Airport – Grottaglie “M. Arlotta” and to “Leonardo” factory. The provincial roads leading to the airport area of the province of Taranto have been completely redeveloped. Let’s talk about Sp 80 and Sp 83.
The works on the first (in a 3.7 kilometer long stretch), which connects Monteiasi to Montemesola, were financed with the Cohesion Development Fund for a total of 12 million euros necessary for the construction of three roundabouts, the expansion of the road axis and to the modernization of the road. They are finished these days.
As regards Sp 83, however, the works are in the final phase and have been partly financed by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers on the occasion of the G7 Summit which will be held from 13 to 15 June next Borgo Egnazia.
In fact, some delegations that will participate in the summit are expected to arrive at the Taranto airport.
On the Sp 83, the laying of asphalt is being completed for 3.5 kilometres, the replacement of the damaged guardrails and the installation of new horizontal and vertical signs. The speed of the works is the great innovation of this construction site carried out by the synergistic work between the technical offices of the organization and the extraordinary commissioner for the G7 Summit. Basti thinks that the requirement in question was presented by the commissioner only on 21 May with a subsequent implementing decree dated 30 May. The works will be delivered by June 8th.
